Movement is Medicine

Pain and injury often lead to doing less, moving less and slowly losing confidence in your body.

You might have tried massage, stretches or other treatments that helped for a while, only for symptoms to return again.

Massage can help calm things down, but strength and movement help build things back up again.

The goal isn’t just short-term relief. It’s helping you feel stronger, more capable and more confident in everyday life.

Is Strength Coaching right for me?

Strength coaching is ideal for you if you are struggling with pain and would like to:

Achieve long-term recovery

Feel stronger in your life

Start doing the activities you love

Understand how to manage pain

Feel safe in how you move

Feel like you can do more than before

Sue’s Story

Sue had seen multiple therapists for shoulder and lower back pain, but nothing seemed to last. The pain kept returning and it felt like she was just being given stretches to manage symptoms rather than actually move forwards.

Together, we focused on building strength, confidence and helping her trust her body again.

Working with Carol has been transformational. Her pain is mostly gone, she feels stronger than ever and no longer worries about every movement. She’s back gardening and walking with confidence again.

It’s Never Too Late To Start!

If you have a body, it’s never too late to try to do something that can help you reduce pain and get stronger. Long standing pain doesn’t mean that damage is still being done to your joints.

I’ve worked with people who’ve had pain for many years, they’ve never done any training before and have found significant improvements in their symptoms. Remember your body can adapt at any age. Your muscles, tendons, bones and the nervous system can still respond positively to strength training.

We can all benefit from getting stronger, improving balance and moving with more confidence.

How I’ll Support You

You need the right guidance, support and plan to help you feel stronger, move better and build confidence again.

My promise is to support you in a way that feels realistic, encouraging and tailored to you.

Tailored To You

There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. We work around your body, your pain history, your confidence and your goals. Everything is adapted to where you are right now.

Build Confidence Gradually

We start where you are and build from there. Small, manageable steps that help you feel stronger, more capable and less worried about making things worse.

Movement You Enjoy

You don’t need to dread exercise. We’ll find movement that feels realistic and works for your life, helping you build confidence without feeling pushed too far.

Investment In Your Health

All good relationships start with a conversation. Let’s find out if we’re the right fit to work together.

Meaningful change takes time, especially when pain has been around for a while. That’s why I ask clients to commit to at least three months. This gives your body time to build strength, confidence and lasting progress.

Sessions are tailored to you and your goals.

Face to face coaching – £240 pcm x1 session per week. £400 pcm for x2 sessions per week.

Give it time

Progress takes time, especially when pain has been around for a while.

That’s why I ask clients to commit to at least three months. Meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right support, your body can adapt and become stronger at any age.

We work together to find an approach that fits your body, confidence and life – because there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

The benefits of one-to-one coaching include:

  • Understanding your body and pain with less fear and confusion
  • Building strength safely, even if you’re worried about making things worse
  • Knowing what to do during flare-ups instead of stopping completely
  • Moving with more confidence in everyday life
  • Support in returning to walking, gardening, tennis or the things you love
  • A personalised plan built around your body, goals and confidence
  • In-person, online or hybrid coaching options to fit your life
  • Feeling stronger, steadier and more capable as you get older
  • Learning how to exercise in a way that actually feels manageable
  • Feeling more like yourself again

Carol Seaborne

Massage & Movement Therapist

Hi, I’m Carol.

I’m passionate about helping people feel stronger, more confident and more in control of their body again.

Like many of the people I now work with, I’ve experienced persistent pain myself. After a knee injury, I was told I would eventually need a knee replacement and that exercise would make things worse.

Thankfully, that wasn’t true.

Seven years later, I’m pain-free and still doing the things I love. That experience completely changed how I think about pain, recovery and what the body is capable of.

Today, I combine massage therapy, movement and strength coaching to help people reduce pain, move better and feel stronger – without fear, confusion or feeling like they’re broken.
