Why do Foundation Training?

This is where I often start with people who feel stiff, sore or unsure about exercise – especially if pain has knocked their confidence.

Foundation Training is a calm, gentle way to help you move better, feel stronger and reconnect with your body. It uses breathing, posture and slow, controlled movements to help reduce tension and improve how you move.

It can be a great starting point if you’re living with back pain, joint stiffness or feel nervous about strength training.

Sessions are adapted to you and your confidence level, helping you feel steadier, more comfortable and more capable in everyday life.

I also find many people notice they feel calmer and less stressed afterwards – and I think you’ll love that too.

Silvie’s Story

Working full-time at a desk, Silvie found herself constantly struggling with back, shoulder and muscle tension. Sitting for long periods left her feeling stiff, uncomfortable and stressed.

Foundation Training gave her a gentle way to start moving again without feeling overwhelmed.

Over time, she noticed less pain, less tension and more confidence in how her body felt. She now feels calmer, moves more comfortably and has tools she can use to help herself when symptoms flare up.

Carol Seaborne

Massage and Movement Therapist

Hi, I’m Carol.

I’m passionate about helping people feel stronger, more confident and more in control of their body again.

Like many of the people I now work with, I’ve experienced persistent pain myself. After a knee injury, I was told I would eventually need a knee replacement and that exercise would make things worse.

Thankfully, that wasn’t true.

Seven years later, I’m pain-free and still doing the things I love. That experience completely changed how I think about pain, recovery and what the body is capable of.

Today, I combine massage therapy, movement and strength coaching to help people reduce pain, move better and feel stronger – without fear, confusion or feeling like they’re broken.
